John T. Lesser, a resident of Loveland since 1987, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004.

He was born Oct. 10, 1915, to Henry S. and Catherine E. Schissler Lesser in Walla Walla, Wash. A former resident of Denver, John was a tire builder for Gates Rubber Co. for 37 years before retiring in 1974.
He was a member of Church of Hope Lutheran Church and loved gardening, woodworking and fishing.
Preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, John is survived by his wife, Nellie Lesser; son, Roger T. Lesser and wife, Judy of Denver; stepson, Ray Homeburg and wife, Chris of Westminster; stepdaughters, Mary Ann Greth and husband, Richard of Peoria, Ariz., Janet Homeburg of Thornton; brother, Sam Lesser of Loveland; sisters, Helen Heimbegner of Greeley, and Elizabeth Teal of Johnstown; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Service 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Church of Hope Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Allnutt Hunter Chapel.
Interment in Foothills Garden of Memory, Longmont.
