Obituary

PHILADELPHIA, Mo. -- Arland Applegate, 92, of Philadelphia died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 3, 1989) in the Macon Health Care Center in Macon where he had been for two and half months.

Mr. Applegate was born Sept. 5, 1897, in Plevna, a son of William and Nancy Perrigo Applegate. He married Edith Darley on March 23, 1925, in Canton, Mo. She survives.

A retired farmer, Mr. Applegate was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Nelsonville.

Survivors include a nephew, Leon Applegate of Novelty.

Mr. Applegate was preceded in death by three brothers.

Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Nelsonville Assembly of God Church by the Rev. Dwayne Larenson. Burial will be in the Steffenville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Steffenville Cemetery Association.

The Ball-Coder Funeral Home at Ewing is in charge of the arrangements.
