Milan, Missouri---Carl George Leeson, 79, died Monday, January 15, 1980, at a local health care center (Sullivan County Memorial Hospital) due to respiratory arrest brought on by aspiration pneumonitis.
Mr. Leeson was born in Union Star, Missouri, but lived most of his life in St. Joseph prior to moving to Milan.
He was a retired tree trimmer.
Mr. Leeson was preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna Gill, in 1977, and by a daughter, Betty Jean Mollus.
Surviving: three sons, Marvin Lloyd of St. Joseph, Robert Wayne of Agency, Missouri, and Danny Ross, living in Utah; a brother, Thomas of St. Joseph, a sister, Dorothy Coy of St. Joseph; 15 grandchildren; and 20-great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Rupp Chapel. Burial, Memorial Park. Visitation: 7-9 tonight and Wednesday at the Chapel.
