WOLCOTT -- George E. Colvin, Jr., 84, of the Wolcott Spring Lake Road, died Friday [March 15] at his home.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Colvin-Robertson Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial in Butler Center Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Butler United Methodist Church, Wayne Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps or Wolcott Library.
Mr. Colvin was born in the town of Butler, Feb. 22, son of George A. and Harriet Dury Colvin. He was a farmer all his life in the towns of Butler and Victory. He was a member of the Butler United Methodist Church, a 55-year member of the Wolcott Masonic Lodge No. 560, a charter member of the Wolcott Elks Lodge. He and his wife celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1984.
Surviving are his wife, Majorie [sic] Washburn Colvin, a daughter, Mrs. Donald [Phyllis] Frink of Randolph; four sons, Donald G. of Savannah, Gerald of Red Creek, Lee of Dearborn, Mich., and Neil of Eden; two brothers, Lynn of West Webster, and Kenneth of Wolcott; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Loveless of Richardson, Texas, and Mrs. Waunita Miner of Wolcott; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
