Phyllis C. Frink, 97, of Palmer Road, Randolph and the Randolph, Manor, passed away, Monday, September 11, 2023 at UPMC-Chautauqua Hospital in Jamestown.
She was born December 2, 1925 in Butler, NY, the daughter of the late George E. and Marjorie L. (Washburn) Colvin
Phyllis was a 1943 graduate of Leavenworth Central School and attended the Eastman School of Dental Hygiene, Syracuse University, Jamestown Community College and the University of Buffalo.
She and her late husband Don, worked together on their Coldspring Street Dairy Farm in Randolph from 1943-1977. She also worked as a Dental Hygienist at Jamestown HS and Randolph Central School in the Gail N. Chapman Elementary. Following retirement, she worked as an aide at the Randolph Free Library.
Phyllis was a member of the East Randolph United Methodist Church, 60 year member of the Randolph and Little Valley Order of Eastern Star, Randolph American Legion Unit 181, Life Member of the NYS Teachers Association and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by a daughter;..., two sons, ..., five grandchildren..., step grandchildren..., as well as, nine great grandchildren: ..., a brother... and sister-in-law, ... and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Frink, whom she married on April 9, 1949 and who preceded her on February 15, 2017, brothers, Donald, Lee and Gerald Colvin, beloved sister-in-law, Doris Frink Stone.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday (September 17, 2023) from 12-2 P.M. in the East Randolph Methodist Church, where services will follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor Tim Middleton will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
