George A. Colvin

WOLCOTT - George A. Colvin, 94, retired, Town of Brutus farmer, died Wednesday October 23, at St. Elizabeth's Nursing Home, Newark. His home was at RD 3.

Mr. Colvin was the father of Lynn Colvin of Auburn, Cayuga County Treasurer, formerly of Cato.

Four other sons survive; Burdette, George E., and Lawrence, all of Bunker, and Kenneth Colvin of Wolcott; also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Loveless, Syracuse and Mrs. Herbert Miner of Wolcott; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Green, Wolcott; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Glenn Fancett of Wolcott Baptist Church officiating at the Robertson Funeral Home in Wolcott. Burial was in Rose Cemetery.

Mr. Colvin was a former justice of the peace, Town of Butler, and a charter member of the Wolcott Grange. He also was a member of Wolcott Baptist Church and Wolcott Masonic Lodge.

A Masonic service was held at 3 p.m. Friday, October 25 at the funeral home.
