Shirley Louise Townsend, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Townsend, Denver Route One, died in Dukes Memorial hospital here Wednesday morning. The child was born August 27, 1948 and was one month and sixteen days old.
Funeral Services will be conducted in the Drake funeral home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery here in Peru, Miami County, Indiana.
The Townsends had six other living children at the time of Shirley's death but a total of 13 children: Infant boy (1931-1931), Frank Allen Townsend (1953-2013), Ruth Ellen Townsend (1937-), Barbara Jean Townsend (1939-2013), Joseph Wayne Townsend (1941-2011), Judy Ann Townsend (1945-), Suzanna Townsend Stewart (1947-), Shirley Louis Townsend (1948-1948), Donald David Townsend (1949-), Cathy Arlenne Townsend (1954), Jimmy Wayne Townsend (1955-), and Gene Raymond Townsend (1956-1956).
