SANFORD - Marie Jeannette Letourneau 99 a long time resident of School St., died Wednesday at Varney Crossing in No. Berwick following a lingering illness. She was born in Sanford June 16, 1907 a daughter of Oliver & Angelina (Charrette) Letoruneau.
She attended the former St. Ignatius school and was a graduate of St. Ignatius commercial school.
Miss Letoruneau was employed as a winder at the former Goodall-Sanford Textile Mills until its closing in 1954. She later was employed at the former Springvale dress shop from where she retired.
A life long resident, Jeannette was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church.
Survivors are two brothers, Alphone & Noel Letourneau both of Sanford, along with several nieces & nephews.
Visiting hours will be Friday Dec. 8 from 6-8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 1:00 PM in St. Ignatius church, with burial to follow in St. Ignatius cemetery.
