SANFORD – Former resident Arthur Letourneau, 88, of Lyman Street in Westbrook, died Tuesday at his home.
He was born in Sanford on July 21, 1912, a son of Olivier and Angelina Charette Letourneau, and was educated at the former St. Ignatius School.
Mr. Letourneau worked in Sanford's shoe factories for several years and later in the kitchen and cafeteria at Bradford, (MA) College for 20 years, retiring from there.
He had been living in Westbrook for 20 years.
Surviving are two sisters, Jeannette of North Berwick and Cecile Bernier of Sanford; two brothers, Alphonse and Noel, both of Sanford; and several nieces and nephews.
