DERYLL WILLIAM HOUSE

Deryll William House, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse House, was born Nov. 22, 1938, at Bolivar, MO., and passed away at 4:45 o'clock the morning of Thursday, July 13, 1944. He was 6 years, 7 months and 21 days old at the time of his death.

He had been in failing health since March. He spent ten weeks in bed with rheumatic fever and had seemingly recovered with no ill effect, but suddenly took ill again a week before his death. He was taken to a hospital in Springfield and all was done that loving hands could do, but he was taken home to be with Jesus. He will be missed by loved ones, but Heaven will be sweeter by his being there. All through his suffering he was very patient, never complaining, and had a sweet smile for those who loved him. He appreciated everything that was done for him.

Deryll enjoyed going to Sunday school and had often made the remark that he'd like to see Jesus. During his illness, while his brother and sisters were getting ready for Sunday school, he would say "Mother, I think I can go next Sunday."

He leaves to mourn his going his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse House, a brother, Donald Lee, two sisters, Patsy Lou and Willodean, a grandmother, Mrs. Anna House of Bolivar, MO, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Breshears of Goodson, MO, three aunts, three uncles, also a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Bolivar at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, July 14, preached by the Rev. Fred H. Terry, the pastor. Burial was in the Payne Cemetery near Polk, MO under direction of the Erwin & Blue funeral home of Bolivar.
