OLIVE R JAEGER

Olive R. Jaeger, 90, of 2001 Roosevelt Avenue, New Holstein died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at Calumet Medical Center Hospice, Chilton after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is the former Olive Pagel born in the Pagel homestead in the town of Charlestown on October 31, 1912 daughter of the late Herman and Emma Kind Pagel. Olive attended Chilton Grade School and was a Chilton High School graduate. She married Walter Jaeger at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton on July 13, 1940. Walter preceded her in death on September 5, 2001. Olive worked as a store clerk at Schroeder's Grocery in Kiel and retired from Hansen Glove Factory, Kiel after a number of years of services.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, New Holstein, its Women's Felllowship, and a former member of New Holstein Garden Club and Civic Society. Olive enjoyed playing cards and gardening.
Survivors include three brothers, John (Vivian) Pagel, Arno (Marion) Pagel, Herman (Grace) Pagel, all of Chilton; one brother-in-law, Ralph Lau, a resident of Willowdale Nursing Home; one sister-in-law, Florence (Henry) Lemke, Chilton, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Adele Pagel and one brother, Ted Pagel, Sr.
Funeral services were held at St. John's United Church of Christ, with the Rev. James Werner officiating. Burial took place in the Country View Cemetery.
