Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, April 18, 1864.

Married Oct. 13, 1887 to Anna T. Hayden.

Thomas N. Enright was born April 18, 1864, the first son of John Enright and Elizabeth O’Hara.
He had his own insurance company in Pittsfield, called appropriately, THOMAS N. ENRIGHT INSURANCE & REAL ESTATE & LOANS.

Thomas N. Enright married Anna T. Hayden October 13, 1887 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Thomas and Anna had 7 Children:

• John H. Enright b. 31 May 1889. In the 1910 Census Pittsfield, John is age 20 single, working in an office (illegible, looked like “Arthect”?), living with his widowed mother and siblings, plus a 35 year old male lodger.

• Helen F. Enright born 16 Aug. 1890. In the 1903 Pittsfield School Census John, Helen, Bessie, Anna and Arthur were attending the Linden Street School, and living at 9 Linden Street as well. Their Aunt Mary E. Enright would have been a teacher there too.
o Helen graduated from high school.
o In 1928 Helen had a shop called “The Primrose Shop” in Pittsfield, and lived at 41 Melville.
o In 1940 she was a milliner in Manhattan.

• Bessie (Elizabeth) G. Enright born 3 Oct. 1891. In 1928 she was employed at General Electric Company in Pittsfield.
o In 1940 she is a bookkeeper in a book store in Manhattan, New York, graduated high school.

• Anna Hayden Enright b0rn 17 July 1894, married to Mark Barton Smith Jr. on April 15, 1914; they had a daughter Virginia who married a Mr. Parkinson, and Virginia had a son, Brian Parkinson.
o 1920 Census for San Diego, CA: Mark B. Smith age 28 is a sailor aboard the USS Melville, married, from Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
o In the 1940 Census for Manhattan: Anna Hayden Enright Smith is “M” married but no husband listed with her; she finished 2 years of college; she is a podiatrist with her “own clinic”; she is living with her sisters Helen and Bessie Enright in Manhattan, New York.

• TWIN: Thomas N. Enright Jr. born 20 Sept. 1896. Poor little guy died of Meningitis at the age of 5 on October 24, 1901.

• TWIN: Arthur J. Enright born 20 Sept. 1896. He married Anna LaPlante.
o Arthur and Anna had 3 children all born in New York: Thomas, William and Anna Marie Enright.
o In the 1930 Census Arthur is a podiatrist living in Queens, New York.

• Charlotte Mary Enright born 29 May 1902. She married Fred W. Ott and had 3 daughters: Jean, Marie and Patricia Ott.

Thomas N. Enright’s wife Anna T. Hayden Enright died on July 21, 1921. In the 1930 Census the 64 year old widower Thomas is a real estate agent renting a room in a boarding house at 232 First Street. In the 1935 City Directory it says that Thomas N. Enright is employed by the Wendell Hotel. He died in 1939 in Pittsfield.
