He was born and reared at Locust Grove, and was the son of Josiah and Margaret (Marshall) Hines.
He had been employed at the North American Cement Corp for 24 years. He was a member of St Paul's U B Church, and Carpenters Union Local Number 31.
Besides his wife, Ethel Clowes, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Martin Gardner, Waynesboro; son, Milton W, at home; five grandchildren; sister. Mrs. James Wright, and twin brother, Joseph H Hines, both of Hagerstown.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 pm from A K Coffman Funeral Home with Rev Dr F Berry Plummer and Rev G I Rider officiating; burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
