She was employed at the Waynesboro Knitting Co. for a number of years and during WWII had worked as a machine operator at the Landis Machine Co. She was last employed in private duty practical nursing in the Waynesboro area. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Catherine L. Smith, Hamburg, Pa.; and Alfreda Riess, Betty V. Benchoff and Dottie Siegrist, all of Waynesboro; son, Raymond M. Gardner, Waynesboro; 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Burial was in the Reformed Church Cemetery in Cavetown.
