BRANSCOMB, Mrs. Eugenia Norwood Alston, 82, died Monday Sept. 16, 1968 in Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Ala. following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. from her residence in Midway with the Rev. M. L. Heaton officiating, assisted by Rev. Albert Branscomb.

Mrs. Branscomb was the wife of John Sanford Branscomb and a former resident of Union Springs. She loved flowers and made that her hobby. She took great pride in growing giant white Chrysanthemums and Camellias in a huge variety.

Survivors include five sons: Marvin Branscomb, Rentz, Ga.; Dr. Albert L. Branscomb, Birmingham; Jackson Branscomb, Atlanta, Ga.; Lewis L. Branscomb, Dothan; J. Alston Branscomb, Sheffield; three daughters, Mrs. Jess Gwynn, Majorca, Spain; Mrs. Royce Smith, Pompano Beach, Fla.; Miss Lucille E. Branscomb, Jacksonville, Ala.; a sister, Miss Alma Alston, Midway; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Burial was in the Midway cemetery. Ward-Wilson-Brown-Service Funeral Home of Dothan directing. Pallbearers were George Clayton, Lawrence Lee Alley, A. J. Cole, Jeff Hall, Sonny Thompson and Warren Hall.
