Norbert Nemec, 65, died yesterday at his home, 42 Alpine Avenue, Fairhaven, after an illness of eight months. He was born in Austria and lived here 48 years. He was a loomfixer at the Whitman Mill and a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Fairhaven.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lily Nemec; a son Frank R., of Fairhaven; four daughters, Mrs. Anthony Plezia and Miss Ruby Nemec of Fairhaven and Mrs. Henry Hacking and Mrs. William Potkay of New Bedford; his mother, Mrs. Christine Nemec of San Francisco; three brothers, Frank of San Francisco, William of New Bedford and Charles of Taunton, and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Norwall and Mrs. Margaret Gustafson of San Francisco and Mrs. Mary Roos of Fairhaven.
