Wenzel S. Nemec, 70, of 485 Wood Street, New Bedford died on January 13 at Morton Hospital in Taunton.
Mr Nemec was retired from his job as a baker for about a year and was a member of the German Club of New Bedford.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Mabel (Carson) Nemec, a son Wenzel H Nemec of Plymouth; a daughter Mrs David Allen of Dartmouth; three sisters, Mrs Louis Roos of Fairhaven and Mrs Elmer Norwell and Mrs Edward Gustafson, both of California; five grandchildren and one grandchild.

Mr Nemec established the Homelyke Bakery in 1912 and operated the business until 1949. He sold the business that year and worked at the Capitol Bakery from 1950 until retiring in 1953.
