William E. (Dutch) Petre- age 90, went home to be with the Lord January 1, 2005 at his home in Washburn. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII, serving in France, Italy and Africa, then followed his father as a Deputy U.S. Marshall, retiring after 33 years on the force. He was a member of Powder Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by devoted wife of 58 years, Anna Lee Kitts Petre; son and wife, RIchard and Donna Petre of Corryton; granddaughter, Jessica Petre of Halls; brother Bill Petre; sister, Mattie Collins of Corryton; several nieces and nephews. Service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mike Inklebarger and Rev. Richard Nicely officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m., Cleveland Cemetery for interment service at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Randy Beeler officiating. Pallbearers: Buddy Sharp, Tommy Fry, Woodie Nicley, Danny Nicley, Larry Fox and Doug McGinnis. Military Honors provided by East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Powder Springs Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday Mynatt Funeral Home.
