Obituary: Hazle Perry

Hazle Alice Perry, 82, of Columbia died Friday, April 9, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center.

Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 14, at Parker Funeral Service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Perry was born Nov. 9, 1916, in Havensville, Kan., to Roy and Laura Proctor Tolin.

She married N.M. "Sid" Perry on July 25, 1937, in Cape Cod, Mass., and he preceded her in death.

She and her husband owned Perry's Department Store on Eighth Street from 1955-67. She later was employed as an occupational therapist in the children's ward at Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center, becoming head of the occupational therapy department. She retired in 1978. She was a member of Missouri United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Michael Perry of New York.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
