Maggie Bernice Harrington Benham, 92, Brandenburg, died February 9, 2000, at the Medco Center, Brandenburg. She was born February 17, 1907, the daughter of George Henry and Polly Mae Cundiff Harrington.

She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter D. Benham; two children, Lena Mae Butler and Peter D. Benham; six brothers, Charles, Willard, Fred, John R., Hayward and David Harrington.

Mrs. Benham is survived by seven children, Maggie L. Thomas, Dennie Benham and William E. Benham all of Brandenburg, Chester L. Benham and Dorothy Landers both of Apache Junction, Arizona, Mary Parrish of Lexington, and Lois Raver of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two sisters, Dolly Entrican and Mamie Benham both of Louisville; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren, and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dee Murphy officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, directed by Hager Funeral Home.
