Mr. Moran was born Jan. 18, 1903, near Amazonia, Mo. He had worked for Glaze Construction Co. in St Joseph for more than 16 years, retiring in 1968. He was a member of the Amazonia Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Proffitt Moran of the home in St Joseph; two sons, Dale Moran of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Lee Edward (Bud) Moran of Independence, Mo.; two daughters, Evelyn Lance of Fillmore, Mo., and Doris Purvis of St Joseph; a brother, Noah Moran, Jr., of Savannah; a sister, Ida Miller of Cameron, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Jackson Memorial Chapel in Savannah. Burial will be in the Fillmore Cemetery." St Joseph News-Press, March 6, 1983
