Rudolph F. Mailahn, 70, Thornton, died Friday, May 24, at Shawano after a short illness.
Mr. Mailahn was born July 3, 1897 in the Town of Richmond. He had always lived in the Town of Richmond and in Thornton. He was a mason by trade. His marriage to Laurena Heller took place Nov. 28, 1928 at Bonduel. She died Dec 5, 1959. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Stony Hill. Mr. Mailahn had been active in the work of the church and in St. Paul Lutheran Men's Club. He took a great deal of interest in his grandchildren, especially since the death of his son, their father, who was killed in an auto accident. His hobby was fishing.Survivors are his daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, ~edited for privacy~. A son Charles was killed August 14, 1966. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Eggert, Rt. 2, Shawano and Mrs. Alvina Springborn, Rt. 2, Shawano.Obituary from Shawano Evening Leader
