The former Alvina Mailahn, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mailahn, was born December 1, 1887 in the Town of Richmond. She married Edward Springborn September 30, 1909. They farmed in the Town of Richmond until 1941 when they moved to Thornton. Her husband died August 22, 1959 after which time she made her home with her son Ralph and family in Shawano. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Stony Hill.Survivors are daughters Lucille, Mrs. Raymond Schoenrock of Iola and Elfriede, Mrs. William Greene, Granada Hills, Calif.; sons Ralph of Shawano, Rueben, Milwaukee and Earl of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Eggert of Town of Richmond. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 28, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Stony Hill with burial in the church cemetery; Rev. Willard Krueger will officiate.Friends may call at the Karth-Kopitzke Funeral Home in Shawano from 3 p.m. Friday until noon on Saturday and then at the church until time of the service at 2:30 p.m. Obituary from Shawano Evening Leader
