Funeral services for Mrs. Lyda Anderson Chaffin, 84, of Gainesboro were conducted Tuesday, March 21, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Wally Kirby officiating. Interment was in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Chaffin passed away Sunday morning, March 19, 1995 in the Cookeville General Hospital. She was an employee of the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency and was a retired factory employee.
Born January 29, 1911 in Jackson County. she was the daughter of the late Dillard P. and Cora Chaffin Anderson and was a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Davis Chaffin of Baxter and Donald Chaffin of Cookeville and formerly of Carthage; one daughter, Joy Dennis of Gainesboro; one brother, Johnnie W. Anderson of Gainesboro; two sisters, Liddie Allen of Franklin, KY and Ruby Davis of Gainesboro; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two-step-great- grandchildren.
Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

OBITUARY CORRECTION
In the obituary notice of Mrs. Lyda Anderson Chaffin, which appeared in the March 22 edition of The Sentinel, the fact she was the widow of Lewis Chaffin, who passed away in 1987, was inadvertently omitted.
