Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Alberta Anderson Davis, 88, were held Friday, December 15, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with Bro. Wally Kirby and Bro. Duane Gossett officiating. Interment was held in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN.
On August 24, 1945, Mrs. Davis was married to Lector Davis who passed away February 4, 1965. Born December 5, 1912 in Jackson County, TN to the late Dillard Paul and Cora Chaffin Anderson, Mrs. Davis passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2000 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ in Jackson County and a resident of the McCoinsville community.
In addition to her parents and husband, her daughter, Ila Dockerty; five brothers, Elbert, Oliver, Thomas, Paul and Clay Anderson and five sisters, Evie Haile, Lura Gailbreath, Liddie Allen, Lorena Brown and Lyda Chaffin, also preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Mildred Shepherd of Lake Worth, FL and Viola Scarlett of St. Clair Shores, MI; one brother, Johnie W. Anderson of Gainesboro; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and seveal nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations maybe made to the Happy Haven Home for Children or the Rash Cemetery Fund by contacting Anderson Funeral Home.
