CLARENCE OSTERKAMP
Clarence Osterkamp, 56, of Anamosa died March 2,1987,at the Anamosa Community Hospital following a long illness.
Clarence Osterkamp was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Amber; the son of Ernest and Emma Christiansen Osterkamp. He received his education in the Delaware, Cedar and Dubuque county schools. He married Leona Louise Kray March 28, 1951, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Anamosa.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Osterkamp worked as a mechanic for Don Stickle and Sons and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; three sons, Donald of Martelle and Craig and Ross, both at home; four daughters, Mrs. Steve (Barbara) Licata of Minocqua, Wis.; Mrs. Greg (Lucinda) Stimpson of Anamosa, and Angels and Marcy Osterkamp, both at home, his mother, Emma Osterkamp of Anamosa and seven grandchildren.
He is also survived by two brothers, Ivan and Ronald, both of Anamosa; and seven sisters, Mrs. William (Emma) Wright of West Branch,
Caroline Spencer, Florence Kula and Mrs. Richard (Delores) Rickels, all of Anamosa, Mrs. Steve (Edna) Yonker of Muskegon, Mich, Mrs. Marvin (Freda) Wood of Gardnerville, Nev. And Wilma Thompson of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Henry.
Services for Mr. Osterkamp were held at 1:30 p.m., March 5, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello, with the Rev. Gary Hatcher officiating. Burial was in Wayne Zion Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Robert Wright, Ivan Osterkamp Jr., Ernest Osterkamp, Russell Osterkamp, Timothy Kray and Dennis Kray.
