Ola was he son of Harvey White Busby and Sarah Nevada. He married Golda Frazier 25 August 1915 in Plainville, Rooks County, KS and had 11 children. Ola came to Kansas with his family when he was one year old. They lived on a farm south of Woodston, Rooks County, Kansas. After his marriage to Golda, they lived at Oakley, Logan County, Kansas (where Golda's family was from) and later moved back to Rooks County, where he farmed. In Dec. 1927, the family moved to Haviland, Kiowa County, Kansas and in Jan. of 1928, Ola entered Friends Bible College there. He pastored the Belvidere Friends Church in Belvidere, Kansas for five years and held evangelistic meetings. He also started out in the grocery store business in Haviland. They operated a store in Haviland, then moved to Mullinville, Kiowa County, Kansas and managed the co-op grocery store there for one year. They moved to Kinsley, Edwards County, Kansas and on 10 March 1945, he opened the Busby and Sons Cash Market there, eight months before his death. He belonged to the Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce in Kinsley. He was killed in a car accident at Jetmore, KS.
