Mrs. Leonard Murphy, Arcola Woman, Dies
ARCOLA, Ill. — Mrs. Frances L. Murphy, 56, of Arcola, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Jarman Hospital, Tuscola. She had entered the hospital earlier in the day.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Shrader funeral home, Arcola, with Rev. H. L. Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the Arcola cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
Mrs. Murphy was born Sept. 22, 1902, in Arcola, the daughter of John and Mary Houchin. She married Leonard Murphy on Sept. 16, 1920, and he survives. She lived in the Arcola area her entire life.
Other survivors are sons, William, Arcola, and Jack, Tuscola; daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gee and Mrs. Jane Ernst, both of Arcola, and six grandchildren.
