Doe Hill News
On last Thursday morning, April 7 our quiet community was shock to hear of the death of Mrs. Hannah Botkin, wife of Lee Botkin. She was a faithful wife, a devoted mother, and a kind and good neighbor, and died in the arms of her savior. Her suffering was so great that she could not talk to anyone. The funeral was to have been Thursday evening, but on account our pastor having sprained his ankle, he could not be with us. Our worthy Sunday School Superintendent, Dr. Jones, read a chapter and offered up a most fervent prayer then, made a few remarks on her life and death of our sister, there was not a dry eye in the congregation.
