Mr. Bodkin had been in ill health for some time, but grew worse about ten days before his death.
He was twice married. First to Miss. Phoebe Eye, who preceded him to the grave several years ago. To this union were born two children, one daughter, Mrs. John Wilson, of Illinois, and one son, Lester Bodkin, of Detroit, Mich.
In later years he was married to Mrs. Grace Hiner, who survives, and to this union was born one daughter, Miss. Virginia, at home.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.W. Stephens, pastor of the McDowell charge, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, at Doe Hill Methodist Church, and interment was in Doe Hill Cemetery.
