Funeral services were held September 21, at 2 p.m. from the St. James Catholic Church for Paul J. Gast who died at his home September 19, at 12:05 p.m.
the Rev. Jim Kotara, pastor of St. James church, will officiate at the rites with burial in St. James cemetery under the direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. A rosary was recited Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Chapel.
Mr. Gast, a service man for Arkla Gas Company for 28 years, was born May 2, 1916, in Moulton, the son of Lorenz and Albina Simcik Gast, natives respectively of Germany and Moulton. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church and a past scoutmaster of Troop No. 262. He had also served during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert and two brothers.
Paul John Gast is the son of Lorenz and Albina (Simcik) Gast. His son is Robert Eugene Gast, who's grave is also in Saint James Catholic Cemetery. Thank you. Susan (Gast) Wick
