Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) - March 12, 2013. Obituary: Ardonna B. Bowden "One Classy Lady" Ardonna Bess Bowden passed away on March 9, 2013. She was born October 12, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Archie and Rose Bess. Mom was such a caring individual who helped so many friends and family. She always put others first to make things better for people in need. She married Keith Bowden on May 28, 1948. Almost 65 years of being together, Mom and Dad had so many good times with friends and family. Mom had a tremendous work ethic. From a young girl, working to help aid her family, to her very last days, she kept working hard. Mom played a major role in the success of the family business of 40 years. (Bowden's Arena). Working alongside with Dad, they were a great team. She put in many long hours to make the business run successfully, while raising a family. Mom loved her home, and it showed very much. She kept it so organized and clean, and was always doing things to make it better.
She is survived by her husband, Keith; sister, Laura Stephensen (Bluffdale); brothers, Bill Bess (Oregon) and Val Bess (Ferron, Utah); her children, Shauna (John), Corey (Kristine), and Bart Bowden. She had 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many, many friends. As per Mom's request, there will be no funeral services. A private graveside will be Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. The family sincerely appreciates all the caring thoughts and prayers from all she knew.
