WWII veteran, he was stationed with the US Army 239th HQ Battery, Co. A. Marvin helped to put the first tin roof on the church in 1922 and had a son who also served in the military. Marvin was a member of the VFW and the Disabled American Veterans and the Round Hill Fire Co. Marvin passed away at the local V.A. Hospital; he was age 69. The Rev. S.L. Hiebert performed his funeral accompanied by the VFW Honor Guard who performed graveside military rites.
