John H. "Wes" Hughes, 86, of R.R. 1, Springfield died at 11 a.m. Monday at his residence.
Born in Waverly, Mr. Hughes was the son of Richard and Minnie Herron Hughes. For 41 years Mr. Hughes was employed by the Heineke Manufacturing Co., and was retired from the Oriental Products Company in California.
Surviving are his wife, Edna (Karrick); one step-daughter, Mrs. Lois Titus of Springfield; one stepson, Ronald Miller of Baldwin Park, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Clara Harford of Springfield; one brother, Charles of Grants Pass, Ore.; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be t 11 .m. Wednesday at Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Robert McDonald officiating. Burial will be in East Cemetery, Waverly.
