Mrs. Daisy Coddington Kniffen, wife of Edward Kniffen, died at her home Friday evening at Lily Lake in the town of Lloyd after a long illness. Besides her husband she is survived by five sons, Floyd of New Paltz, Harry of Warwick, Albert of Amenia, John of Highland, and Walter of Highland; six daughters, Mrs. Elting Rugar of Poughkeepsie, Mrs. Arthur Hasbrouck of New Paltz, Mrs. Roy Hasbrouck of New Paltz, Mrs. W.O. Reynolds of Maybrook, Mrs, Edward Alter of Kingston and Miss Elizabeth Kniffen of Kingston; one brother, Herman Coddington of Accord and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Asa Coddington of New York City; eighteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the V.T. Pine Funeral and Son Funeral Home, New Paltz with burial in New Paltz Rural cemetery.
