MRS. M.A. DISBROW ANSWERS FINAL CALL.
WELL KNOWN LYONS RESIDENT CALLED BY DEATH LATE THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
FUNERAL ON SUNDAY.
Death Follows a Several Years Period of Failing Health. Final Illness of Short Duration. Funeral to be Private.
After a five days' illness at her home on the bluffs along South Ninth street, Mrs. M. A. Disbrow, one of Lyons' old and well known residents, answered the final call, the end coming about 6 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
Mary Lincoln, as she was known before her marriage, was born in Massachusetts on Feb. 20, 1846, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Silas W. Lincoln. For many years Mrs. Disbrow made her home in Lyons, where she had a large number of friends in spite of her slightly retired life. At the time death occurred she was a few months over 67 years of age. Mrs. Disbrow after the death of her husband some seven years ago has been interested largely in the local M. A. Disbrow & Co. factory and up to the time of her death was president of the concern.
The deceased is survived by two daughters, Miss Flora Disbrow at home and Mrs. Du Bois of Portland, Ore., and by one son, W. B. Disbrow of this city. Mrs. Du Bois has already started for this city, called by the news of her mother's death.
The funeral service will be private and will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home in South Ninth street. Interment will be in Oakland cemetery.
