NORMAN E. BOLINGER, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2005. Born Jan. 20, 1930, he was known as "Jake" by his family. He was the youngest of 12 children and the youngest of twins. Norm was a Shoe Repairman for 37 years at Bolinger's Shoe Service located at the corner of St. Mary's and Putnam Avenues. His son, Charles of Chuck's Shoe Repair at Maplecrest and his daughter, Claudia and son-in-law, Domingo of Dupont Shoe Repair at Dupont Road, follows Norm in the shoe repair business. He leaves behind his wife of 49 1/2 years, Mary L. (Stover); six children, Gloria Didion, Charles, John, Connie, Claudia Carcia and Pamela Rife; four sisters; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials to P.V. Hospice.
