Mr. Otis Allen, 63, of Campbellsville, son of the late Mr. Lewis Allen and Mrs. Sallie Allen, was born in Larue County, April 4, 1906. He died at the Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville Friday morning, July 11th. He entered the hospital one day earlier. He professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Mr. Allen owned and operated the Allen Welding Shop here in Campbellsville for some three years and also was a partner in the Shipp's Seed House for some seven years. Before retiring, he managed the Lake View Motel in Campbellsville for some eleven years. He united in marriage to Miss Ella Underwood, November 21, 1928. Besides his wife, he is survived by two brothers: Mr. Charlie Allen and Mr. Roy Allen of Campbellsville, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, July 13th at the St. Mark's United Methodist Church by the Revs. George Phillips and Wendell Hurt. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were: Leamond Houk, Lewis and Billy Grimes, Kenneth Allen, Jess Vaughn, and Wayne Sprowles. Honorary pallbearers were: Claude Burkholder, S. W. Cheatham, Lawrence Parsons, Elmer White, Elam Moss, Otis Wethington, and E. L. Daugherty.
