In 1927, she married Howard Belcher Sr and to this union six children were born. On coming to Fort Wayne in 1971, she joined the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnessess.
She and her husband operated a grocery store on the corner of Creighton and Winter Streets until retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, Albert Smith and Gladys Datcher of Los Angeles, Calif. Four sons, Howard Jr, Amos, Gilbert and Larry of Fort Wayne. Five sisters-in-law, Muggie Collins, Helen Belcher, Clara Thompson, Birdie Porter of Birmingham, Alabama; Zora Mason of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers-in-law, Addie of South Bend and Huriah Belcher of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; 28 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
She resided at 1522 E. Creighton Ave, 46803. SS# 422-48-4052.
