"Miss Lydia Blanks was born to the Mr, & Mrs. Gabe Blanks on March 8,1912 in Kerr County. She attended the public school. She was raised in a Christian home, and confessed Christ at an early age. She was a sweet sister to her sisters and brothers, who she helped raise, and doing what she could to help, all down through the years. She was married to Mr. John Jefferson, and to this union one son was born. John Gabrial Jefferson. Mr. J. Jefferson passed. She met and married Mr. Robert Carrington.
She accepted Christ in Barnett Chapel United Methodist Church and still a member. She passed away February 11,1981 in Peterson Hospital. Survivors include one son, Mr. John G. Jefferson and wife Thelma of Flint, Michigan; one sister, Mrs Florine Clay, Kerrville, Texas; one brother, Mr. Floyd Blanks of San Antonio, Texas; one grandson, Michael Jefferson of Flint, Michigan; one aunt, Mrs. Josephine Garrett of Kerrville; niece,nephew, great nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends."
