Theresa "Sis" Bellner, age 90 of Jasper passed away at 4:30 a.m. Friday (January 25, 2013) in the Meadow Lakes Health Care Center in Mooresville, Indiana.
She was born in Louisville, Ky (January 30, 1922) to Joseph J.Hoffmann and Katherine (Schnell) Hoffmann.
She married Lawrence Bellner January 17, 1942; He preceded her in death on March 29, 1996.
She worked at Jasper Wal Mart Store for over 20 years.
Theresa was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church - St. Ann's and the Daughters of Isabella and a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She was very active in the V.F.W. Auxiliary to Post # 673 in Jasper, Served as it president in 1977 thru 1979 Also served as president 0f the Indiana 8th District V.F.W. Auxiliary from 1985 thru 1986.
Theresa was one of the original cooks at 10th street School in Jasper.

Daughter;
Mary Catherine Gullifor and her husband Tom, Plainfield, IN
Son, Gene Bellner and wife Billie , Lenexa, KS
Five grandchildren 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Preceding her in death besides her husband are two sons William J. Bellner and Larry Bellner and a daughter Patricia Ann who died in infancy. Also 3 granchildren.
Three brothers, Joe, George and Albert "Bud" Hoffmann and six sisters;
Emma Soeder, Katie Breitweiser , Marie Degener, Carolyn Hoffmann , Amelia Hoffmann and Matilda Hoffmann who died in infancy.
Funeral services for Theresa Bellner will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (January 29, 2013) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
Rosary will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday by the St. Ann's Society and the D of I's followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. by the V.F. W. Auxiliary at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Community Foundation, March of Dimes or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
