ALBERT M. "BUD" HOFFMANN, age 85 of Jasper passed away at 6:00 P.M. Monday, February 13, 2006, at his home. He was born August 12, 1920 at Louisville KY. to: Joseph and Katherine (Schnell) Hoffmann. He married Dorothy Soeder December 29, 1951. She passed away November 18, 1990. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was in the Air Force during WW2 where he fought 5 battles in the European Theatre. He worked at the Jasper Turning Company where he retired. Surviving: 2 sisters-Theresa "Sis" Bellner of Jasper, and Marie Degener of Louisville, KY. Many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death besides his wife are 2 brothers, George and Joseph Hoffmann, 5 sisters, Mathilda Hoffmann, Catherine "Katie" Breitweiser, Emma Soeder, and Caroline and Amelia Hoffmann, who died in infancy. Visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday February 17, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. The VFW Post 673 will conduct Military Grave Side Rites. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
