Gladys "Maude" Keddy -

Torbrook Mines - Gladys "Maude" Keddy, 95, Torbrook Mines, died August 6,
1999, in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Torbrook on May 14, 1904,
she was the eldest daughter of the late Norris and Florence (Pooley) Banks.
She was a member of Torbrook Mines United Church, lifelong member of the
United Church Women, and past president of Torbrook Mines United Church
Ladies' Circle. She was a lifelong resident of Torbrook Mines. She is
survived by sisters, Jessie Coleman, Kentville; Florence Bruce, Grand View
Manor, Berwick; Laura Johnson, Torbrook Mines; brother, Robie Banks,
Torbrook West; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews,
great-great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert;
brothers, Willis and Laurie; sisters, Merna Slack and Grace Zampaloni.
Funeral was held Monday, August 9 in Torbrook Mines United Church, Rev. Ray
Francis officiating, with burial in Torbrook Mines United Church Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Torbrook Mines United Church or Mountain Lea Lodge,
Bridgetown.
