Mrs. Oscar Ranes passed away at 10:45 a.m. this morning at
home, 1512 S. 22nd Street, Wednesday, May 12, following a four months illness-
Mrs. Ranes, who would have been 64 years of age June 1, had been ill since New Years. Mrs. Ranes, who before her marriage was Nellie Middleton, was born in Schuyler County, Missouri, the daughter of John and Jane Middleton. She came to Centerville with her parents when a small child. She was united in marriage to Oscar Ranes August 15, 1912.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Harley and Clyde, and a daughter Virginia, [all] of Centerville. Three brothers, Roy and James Middleton of Centerville, and Archie Middleton of Des Moines. Twin daughter and son passed away in infancy. A brother Harley and her parents also preceded her in death. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced.
