Harley Ranes

Harley Ranes, 73, of Centerville died Wednesday, April 27, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital.

He was born Aug. 5, 1914 in Centerville to Oscar L. and Nellie Middleton Ranes. He married Josephine M. Belloma in Centerville on Jan. 15, 1948 and she survives. He worked on the railroad, for the Coca-Cola Company and on construction in the Centerville area all of his life.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard and Frank, both of Centerville; two daughters, JoAnne Arbogast, Centerville, and Susan Ballanger, Centerville; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Vicevich, Centerville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son and one brother, Clyde.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Johnson-Lange Funeral Home with Father Al Ebach officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 7-8 at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association and may be left at the funeral home.
