I have been doing genalogy and family history since I was 16. I also study the meaning of surnames, but my interest in heraldry is really what got me started. I have done extensive work on my wife's family, as well. Principal names of interest include Middleton, Stogdill, See and Allen. My wife's families are Bidstrups, Nelsons, Greenes and Fords. I was born in Centerville, Iowa and grew up in Independence, Missouri. I have lots of relatives who lived in Schuyler and Scotland Counties in Missouri and Appanoose and Davis Counties in Iowa. I live in San Antonio, Texas.
