Anna spent most of her life in Thurmont, MD, though did for a time live in Pennsylvania in the 1890s. She married first James Samuel Diehl about 1890 in Pennsylvania and they returned to Thurmont, MD about 1894. They had two children and were divorced by 1900.Children:

-Rosa Ellen "Rosie" Diehl (1893-1970)
-Glenn Webster Diehl (1895-1968)

She married second Harry Albert (Forney) Flohr in 1903. Harry, born a Forney, was adopted into the Flohr family by her father's brother at a young age and he took the family name, becoming an adopted cousin. He was married previously to Anna's sister, Maria Elizabeth Flohr, and had four children, but she died in 1899. Harry and Anna had five children together. Children:

-Earle Flohr (1904-1913)
-Clara Flohr (1908-2005)
-Lillian Flohr (1911-1988)
-Amelia Pearl Flohr (b.1912)
-Dora Flohr (b.1914)

Obituary:

Mrs. Anna M. Flohr, wife of Harry A. Flohr, died this morning at nine o'clock at her home in Thurmont following an illness of 10 years. A daughter of the late William and Julia Ann Manhortz Flohr, she was aged 76 years. She was a life-long member of the Thurmont United Brethren church. In addition to her husband, survivors include these children: Mrs. Russel Lidie, West Carrollton, O.; Glen Diehl, Cumberland; Mr.s John Bailey, Orlando, Fla.; Miss Lillian Flohr, at home; Mrs. Woodrow Wills, Mrs. Karl Fisher, both of Bethlehem, Pa.; Mrs. Charles Schildt, Thurmont; Mrs. John Kern and Mrs. John Ridenour, both of Hagerstown; 32 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Cora Zombro, Baltimore; one brother, Daniel Flohr, Shady Grove, Pa.

The body will be taken to the late home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock where friends are invited to call. It will be removed to the Thurmont Brethren church at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday where funeral services will be conducted at 2:30. Elders S. R. Weybright and Arthur Rice and Rev. Chester Royer will officiate. Interment in church cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral director.
