The announcement of the sudden death of Mr. James C. Bistline, a prominent citizen of Oliver township, which occurred at his home in Everhartville on Tuesday evening following a heart attack, after a week's illness, cast a gloom of sadness as the deceased was well and favorably known here.
The deceased was a son of George and Elizabeth (Burd) Bistline, and would have been 80 years old on December 11th, next. He is survived by two sons, George P., of Cumberland, Md., and Edmund, of Newark, N. J., and two daughters, Mrs. Dora Moyer and Mrs. Homer Rice, both of Oliver township.
Mr. Bistline was a member of the Reformed Church and of Newport Lodge, No. 102, I. O. O. F. In politics he was a staunch Republican, always supporting the ticket of the great party of Lincoln and McKinley.
In the death of Mr. Bistline, the editor of this paper loses one of his best friends and to the bereaved sons and daughters we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
Funeral services will be held from the deceased's late home on Friday at 2 p. m.
