Obit:CD age 79, died Tuesday, May 7, 1974 at Genesee Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, May 11, 1974 at Reigle Funeral Home. Rev W.C. Jones officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Mr Hicks was born in Hamilton, Texas, March 26, 1895. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Mattie, in 1967. Mr. Hicks was a retired member of Chevorlet Local No. 659, and had been employed by Chevorlet Manufacturing from 1928 to 1960. Surviving are: niece, Mrs Mildred Evans of Flint; granddaughter, Diane Bruman of North Branch; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Vera Allen of Parma, Missouri, and Leora Sexton of Kentucky.
