Relatives here wera Informed Thanksgiving morning of the unexpected death of Mrs. Lars Bartelson of Pine Creek. Mrs. _Barteleon, whoso maiden name was Helena . Lovia Thompson, - was born in Pine Creek Valley and--was -married 42 years ago. The couple made their home during all their, married life on the farm In Pine Croek Valley where Mrs. Bartelson died. .Thirteen children were born and all. are living. Mrs. Bartelson complained of. feeling- tired , all day-and In the evening retired early. Hearing her oough slightly, -her daughter-went to the bedside and found her mother In an unoonsolous state. ,A- doctor -was called and found Mrs. Baitelson was dead from a heart attack. The children are Mrs. Thomas Horan. of North Prairie, Mrs. William Fabian of St. CharlesMrs. John Antonson ot Fremont, Hazel, Elvira, Ellen, Clarence, Vance, Ollmer, Leonard, Norman, Arthur apd Edwin, all of Pine Croek. Her husband, three sisters, one brother and 22 grandchildren also survive Mrs. Bartelson. Funeral services were conducted at the home at . l p. m. Saturday and at the Rushford Lutheran church at 2 p. in. The Rev. N. L. .Otterstad officiated. Pallbearers were six nephews, Harris and Elmer _Svenlngson and. Martin, ' Helmer, James and Clifford Johnson. Burial was In the Rushford cemetery. . ' Miss Beth Thompson spent Thanksgiving day and the remainder of the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard _Hellelland entertained Thanksgiving day for Mr. and Mrs. Herman Cordcs of Wlnonn, Mr. and Mrs. Alvln Feine and daughter Delorcs. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cordes and sons AKrcd and Emll, Mr. and Mrs. William Holz, sons Lester, Fred and Wayne and daughter Lucille and Alvln RaemUston. Mr. ind Mrs. Oust Bubllls entertained on Thanksgiving day tor Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lunman and children and Mr. and Mrs. Kd Luhman and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hennessy entertained on Thanksgiving day for Mr. and Mrs. William Hennessy and children of Wlnona. Mn. John Benson of Wlnona accompanied her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs, James Boynton, on their trip to Sparta Thanksgiving day, instead ot Mrs, JeBsle Woodward of Utloa as was previously reported. Mr. And Mrs. George Daley and son Bernard joined Mr. and Mrs. John Daley and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Welch and children of Wlnona In a Thanksgiving day dinner and supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Welsch of Pleasant _Vallum Mr. and Mrs, Herman Erdman entertained at a dancing party at their home Thanksgiving evening, the' occasion being Mrs. _Erdman's birthday. A large group ot relatives and trlends attended. Ronnonberg brothers furnished music tor dancing. Refreshments were served. Bernard Armltage, who was employed at the Oeorge Daley farm since last April, returned to his home at Pickwick Saturday. Miss Ruby Bunde left for Hayfleld Wednesday to cpond the Thanksgiving day vacation with her parents there. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hellelland entertained at dinner Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cordes and family and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Rasmussen and family. Mrs. Lawrence Daley of Oak Ridge will entertain the WyattvlUe Birthday club Thursday at dinner. Mr. and Mn. Jamea Ronan of Enterprise entertained on Thanksgiving day tor Mr. and Mrs. James Creely of Wlnona, Mr. and Mrs.. Edward Consldlne, Frank Burns, Thomas O'Dea and sons JohnBernard and Matthew and Miss Ellen Ronan ot Rochester. Mr. and Mrs. George Hall and daughters Mary, Patrloia and Elisabeth, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hall and William _Sohuman were entertained Thanksgiving day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank _Bommers ot Lewlston. Delmar Bunke of Hart Is spending a tew days with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Volkman.
